TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My classes are delivered to both Major, Minor and Non Art Degree students. I also teach adult classes as well as volunteer to Senior Citizen classes within the vicinity of Pittsburgh. I feel I bring a unique approach to my teachings providing personal fulfillment to each individual through an appreciation and understanding of the application of basic principles of art, and by accepting and adopting,  one can have a richer life, be a much stronger, accomplished artists, as well as be a much better communicator in any business environment or career objective. I spend significant one on one time with each student attempting to identify and leverage students potential through their building on inherent strengths, while nurturing confidence to understand and master perceived weaknesses. WORKING WITH SENIOR CITIZENS

One of the most rewarding experiences I have is my volunteer drawing classes at Passavant Luthern Care Abundant Life Center in Zelienople PA. An absolutely amazing group of individuals, many whom over their lifetime have been accomplished artists and are now renewing their interest and passion....and...teaching me along the way!

TESTIMONIALS

SENIOR CLASSES

"I extend a Heart full of gratitude for you having the art class for us I learn so much from you and I appreciate your patience and kindness. This is helping me open up a creative aspect to my life and it helps in the healing process also."

   Mary

"I wanted to learn to draw better so as to help with my wood carving. I have noticed a big difference in my approach and I give you credit for developing that. I don’t plan to become an artist but you have taught me to see things through the eye of an artist and I thank you for that."

     Dick

"Although I am new (6 classes) to the class, I find it very stimulating and relaxing. I look forward to class every week. Thank you for making it so!"

    Janet

"Thank you for coming to teach at Passavant. Art is a wonderful therapy especially for retired seniors. You are patient and understanding. Plus, helping your students and encouraging them to never stop learning."

    Mary

"It is impossible to describe effectively the delight with which Mr. Ron Jesiolowski has influenced in me since he began teaching art classes here. When I heard that a college professor would be coming to teach us, I was surprised and thrilled. Little did I realize what a true joy and enthusiastic pleasure it would become. Mr. Ron amazes and inspires me with his all-around talent, teaching method, dedication to the work, cheerful enthusiasm, humor, and puns. What a pleasant gusto humor of a guy and artist he is! I am “drawn” to his classes!"

   Angie

“This course has been wonderful for me-an opportunity to draw again and Ron’s teaching has been creative and enlightening. A new approach to figure and still life drawing and his encouragement is great! I certainly hope he is able to continue these classes as I look forward to every session.”

  Sylvia

“ You just don’t know how much you have helped me and challenged me to things I never thought I could do. I look forward to this class each week. You have such a unique and fun way of teaching. You are not only a great teacher but a great and caring individual. I can’t imagine a better person to teach our classes. Please come back next quarter.”
